La fluctuaci\u00f3n del pH a 50 \u00b0C es significativamente mayor que a 40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas observaciones est\u00e1n relacionadas con dos reacciones principales durante el envejecimiento:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Las part\u00edculas abrasivas m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as tienen una mayor superficie espec\u00edfica. Esto acelera la disoluci\u00f3n del CaCO\u2083 y la liberaci\u00f3n de iones hidr\u00f3xido. El pH aumenta consecuentemente.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El monofluorofosfato de sodio (SMFP) se hidroliza gradualmente y produce \u00e1cido fluorh\u00eddrico. Este \u00e1cido reacciona con iones de calcio y fosfato para formar fluorapatita insoluble. Asimismo, la muestra de 43,9 \u03bcm se mantiene por encima de la de 35,7 \u03bcm. Esto se debe a que los abrasivos de 25,4 \u03bcm y 43,9 \u03bcm contienen m\u00e1s \u00e1lcali libre. Estas impurezas alcalinas (principalmente Ca(OH)\u2082 o CaO) aumentan el pH inicial de la pasta dental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efecto sobre la retenci\u00f3n de TSF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La retenci\u00f3n de TSF disminuye significativamente a medida que el tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula D97 se hace m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o.<br>Para la misma muestra, la retenci\u00f3n de TSF tambi\u00e9n disminuye con temperaturas de envejecimiento m\u00e1s altas o tiempos de envejecimiento m\u00e1s prolongados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las razones principales incluyen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Un tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula menor aumenta la superficie espec\u00edfica. Las temperaturas de envejecimiento m\u00e1s altas incrementan las concentraciones de iones de calcio y \u00e1cido fluorh\u00eddrico. Ambos factores aceleran la formaci\u00f3n de fluorapatita.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un envejecimiento m\u00e1s prolongado promueve la hidr\u00f3lisis continua de SMFP y la precipitaci\u00f3n continua de fluorapatita.
