La forme des particules est irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re et leur taille moyenne est comprise entre 1 et 10 \u03bcm, 50% des particules \u00e9tant inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 3 \u03bcm. Sa masse volumique est comprise entre 2,7 et 2,9 g\/cm\u00b3 et il est quasiment insoluble dans l&#039;eau. Des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9cents ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans ce domaine. <a href=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/fr\/machines\/ball-mill\/\">aff\u00fbtage<\/a> Les technologies (comme les broyeurs \u00e0 jet d&#039;air) permettent de produire du carbonate de calcium lourd ultrafin, d&#039;une taille aussi fine que 0,1 \u00b5m. Le carbonate de calcium lourd est couramment utilis\u00e9 dans le PVC pour r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts, am\u00e9liorer la stabilit\u00e9 dimensionnelle et, lorsqu&#039;il est utilis\u00e9 avec de l&#039;argile, am\u00e9liorer l&#039;\u00e9lasticit\u00e9 et la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la d\u00e9formation thermique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carbonate de calcium l\u00e9ger (CaCO\u2083 l\u00e9ger)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Produit par voie chimique, il est \u00e9galement appel\u00e9 carbonate de calcium pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9. Ses particules sont fusiformes, aciculaires ou colonnaires, avec une taille comprise entre 1 et 10 \u03bcm, dont 80% ont une taille inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 3 \u03bcm. Sa masse volumique est de 2,65 g\/cm\u00b3. Le carbonate de calcium l\u00e9ger est principalement utilis\u00e9 dans les polyol\u00e9fines et pr\u00e9sente des effets similaires \u00e0 ceux du carbonate de calcium lourd, avec de meilleurs effets d&#039;am\u00e9lioration et une meilleure r\u00e9sistance aux acides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carbonate de calcium activ\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Aussi connu sous le nom de <a href=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/fr\/surface-modification\/\">carbonate de calcium modifi\u00e9<\/a> ou carbonate de calcium collo\u00efdal. Il est trait\u00e9 avec des modificateurs de surface (tels que l&#039;acide st\u00e9arique, environ 3% en poids) pour activer le carbonate de calcium l\u00e9ger ou lourd. Il se pr\u00e9sente sous la forme d&#039;une poudre blanche, fine et molle, d&#039;une densit\u00e9 de 1,99 \u00e0 2,01 g\/cm\u00b3. Les plastiques charg\u00e9s de carbonate de calcium activ\u00e9 pr\u00e9sentent une bonne r\u00e9sistance, des surfaces lisses et une excellente lubrification, ce qui facilite leur mise en \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le carbonate de calcium est class\u00e9 par taille de particule comme suit :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\u20135 \u03bcm : Microparticules de carbonate de calcium<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0,1\u20131 \u03bcm : carbonate de calcium fin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0,02\u20130,1 \u03bcm : carbonate de calcium ultrafin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En dessous de 0,02 \u03bcm : carbonate de calcium super ultrafin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour produire du carbonate de calcium ultrafin, on utilise un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 continu de carbonatation par pulv\u00e9risation et de s\u00e9chage par pulv\u00e9risation (proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 double pulv\u00e9risation). Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 r\u00e9duit les agglom\u00e9rats apparents et assure une activation uniforme de la surface. C&#039;est une charge floconneuse classique, chimiquement inerte et glissante au toucher. Avec une masse volumique de 2,7 \u00e0 2,8 g\/cm\u00b3, la poudre de talc est la deuxi\u00e8me charge la plus utilis\u00e9e apr\u00e8s le carbonate de calcium. En tant que charge plastique, elle am\u00e9liore la duret\u00e9, l&#039;ignifugation, la r\u00e9sistance aux acides et aux alcalis, l&#039;isolation \u00e9lectrique, la stabilit\u00e9 dimensionnelle et la r\u00e9sistance au fluage. Elle poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s lubrifiantes, r\u00e9duisant l&#039;usure des machines et des moules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le talc est une charge en forme de plaque. Son utilisation dans les plastiques augmente consid\u00e9rablement la rigidit\u00e9 et r\u00e9duit l&#039;anisotropie. Il est id\u00e9al pour la fabrication de produits plats et de grandes dimensions. Le talc est principalement utilis\u00e9 dans le PP comme agent de nucl\u00e9ation de cristallisation, am\u00e9liorant la taille des cristaux et augmentant la rigidit\u00e9. Il est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9sines PVC, PE, PA et PC. La quantit\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement comprise entre 10% et 40%. Les conditions et les \u00e9quipements de traitement sont similaires \u00e0 ceux utilis\u00e9s pour les plastiques charg\u00e9s au carbonate de calcium, notamment les m\u00e9thodes d&#039;extrusion, de moulage, d&#039;injection et de calandrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wollastonite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La wollastonite est la troisi\u00e8me charge la plus utilis\u00e9e apr\u00e8s le carbonate de calcium et le talc. Elle est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de min\u00e9raux silicat\u00e9s naturels, tels que le silicate de calcium (CaSiO\u2083). La wollastonite naturelle pr\u00e9sente une structure mixte granulaire, en forme d&#039;aiguilles et de b\u00e2tonnets, principalement sous forme d&#039;aiguilles. C&#039;est un min\u00e9ral cristallin blanc, non hygroscopique et non toxique, dot\u00e9 d&#039;un faible coefficient de dilatation thermique et d&#039;une excellente r\u00e9sistance chimique. Son indice de r\u00e9fraction de 1,62, proche de celui du PVC, le rend id\u00e9al pour les produits transparents en PVC. Sa structure en forme d&#039;aiguilles renforce les plastiques et peut remplacer partiellement les fibres de verre co\u00fbteuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La wollastonite est utilis\u00e9e dans le PVC, le PP, le PE, le PA, le polyester, les r\u00e9sines \u00e9poxy et les r\u00e9sines ph\u00e9noliques. La quantit\u00e9 typique utilis\u00e9e est inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 40%. <a href=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/fr\/surface-modification\/\">traitement de surface<\/a> avec des agents de couplage au silane est courant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kaolin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/kaolinite-1.webp\" alt=\"kaolinite 1\" class=\"wp-image-3513\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/kaolinite-1.webp 800w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/kaolinite-1-300x208.webp 300w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/kaolinite-1-768x533.webp 768w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/kaolinite-1-18x12.webp 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Le kaolin (Al\u2082O\u2083\u00b72SiO\u2082\u00b72H\u2082O) est un min\u00e9ral argileux. Il est tendre et glissant, avec une densit\u00e9 de 2,2 \u00e0 2,6 g\/cm\u00b3 et un pH de 5 \u00e0 6. Il poss\u00e8de d&#039;excellentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s d&#039;isolation \u00e9lectrique et est utilis\u00e9 dans des applications telles que l&#039;isolation en PVC, les c\u00e2bles en PE et PP, et les films composites. L&#039;ajout de kaolin 10% au PVC am\u00e9liore l&#039;isolation \u00e9lectrique de 5 \u00e0 10 fois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le kaolin est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9sines polyester et \u00e9poxy pour ajuster la viscosit\u00e9, am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&#039;usure et optimiser les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de mise en \u0153uvre. Il peut \u00e9galement servir d&#039;agent de nucl\u00e9ation pour le PP et poss\u00e8de certains effets ignifuges. La quantit\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e varie g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de 5% \u00e0 60%, avec une granulom\u00e9trie sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 100 mesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le mica est un min\u00e9ral complexe compos\u00e9 d&#039;aluminium, de potassium, de lithium, de magn\u00e9sium, de fer et d&#039;autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments. La poudre de mica est obtenue par broyage de paillettes de mica naturel. La granulom\u00e9trie est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement comprise entre 8 et 10 \u03bcm et le rapport longueur\/largeur est d&#039;environ 30. Le mica pr\u00e9sente une structure plaquettaire typique, \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9clat vitreux, et pr\u00e9sente une teneur en humidit\u00e9 comprise entre 1,01 TP3T et 4,21 TP3T. Il est non toxique et peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 dans les produits destin\u00e9s au contact alimentaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La poudre de mica peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour le remplissage des plastiques PE, PP, PVC, PA, ABS et polyester, ainsi que des plastiques thermodurcissables comme l&#039;EP et le PF. La quantit\u00e9 typique ajout\u00e9e est de 10% \u00e0 40%, avec des granulom\u00e9tries allant de 100 \u00e0 325 mesh. Le mica augmente consid\u00e9rablement les modules de traction et de flexion des plastiques et conf\u00e8re une excellente isolation \u00e9lectrique, une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la chaleur, une stabilit\u00e9 dimensionnelle, une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&#039;humidit\u00e9 et une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion. Son inconv\u00e9nient est son co\u00fbt plus \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Terre de diatom\u00e9es<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La terre de diatom\u00e9es est un s\u00e9diment fossilis\u00e9 form\u00e9 par des algues unicellulaires. Principalement compos\u00e9e de SiO\u2082, elle est poreuse, l\u00e9g\u00e8re et facile \u00e0 r\u00e9duire en poudre. C&#039;est une charge l\u00e9g\u00e8re de haute qualit\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e dans le PVC, le PO et les plastiques thermodurcissables, ainsi que dans les composites de construction pour l&#039;insonorisation, l&#039;isolation thermique et les applications antiadh\u00e9sives. Il existe une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de types, notamment le noir de fourneau, le noir de canal et le noir thermique. Utilis\u00e9 dans les polym\u00e8res, le noir de carbone offre une protection contre la d\u00e9gradation par la lumi\u00e8re et l&#039;oxydation thermique. Sa finesse influence les performances du produit\u00a0; des particules plus fines offrent une meilleure noirceur, une protection contre les UV, une r\u00e9sistance au vieillissement et une r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 superficielle plus faible, mais peuvent \u00eatre plus difficiles \u00e0 disperser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les charges, des particules plus grosses de noir de carbone de four (25 \u00e0 75 \u03bcm) sont souvent utilis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Silice (SiO\u2082)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La silice (SiO\u2082) est une poudre de roche, principalement compos\u00e9e de quartz et de silicates. La poudre de SiO\u2082 naturelle est utilis\u00e9e dans les r\u00e9sines thermodurcissables comme le polyester insatur\u00e9 et les r\u00e9sines \u00e9poxy, ainsi que dans la production d&#039;agate et de marbre artificiels. La silice synth\u00e9tique, commun\u00e9ment appel\u00e9e noir de carbone blanc, est une charge renfor\u00e7ante de deuxi\u00e8me choix apr\u00e8s le noir de carbone.
