Les qualit\u00e9s commerciales typiques comprennent <a href=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/fr\/machines\/ball-mill\/\">325 mailles<\/a> (D97 \u2248 45 \u03bcm) et 400 mesh (D97 \u2248 38 \u03bcm). Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les technologies de formulation des dentifrices ont connu des progr\u00e8s rapides. Les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de broyage ultrafin ont \u00e9galement r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des avanc\u00e9es significatives. Il s&#039;agit notamment du pH, de la r\u00e9tention de fluorure soluble total (FST), de la viscosit\u00e9 et de l&#039;abrasivit\u00e9. Dans cette \u00e9tude, des abrasifs naturels \u00e0 base de carbonate de calcium, pr\u00e9sentant des valeurs D97 comprises entre 10 et 45 \u03bcm, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s. Des \u00e9chantillons de dentifrice fluor\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9s selon une formulation standardis\u00e9e. Ces \u00e9chantillons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vieillis \u00e0 25 \u00b0C, 40 \u00b0C et 50 \u00b0C. Leur pH, leur r\u00e9tention de FST, leur viscosit\u00e9 et leur abrasivit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9s r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. La fluctuation du pH \u00e0 50 \u00b0C est nettement plus importante qu&#039;\u00e0 40 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces observations sont li\u00e9es \u00e0 deux r\u00e9actions principales qui surviennent au cours du vieillissement\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les particules abrasives plus fines pr\u00e9sentent une surface sp\u00e9cifique plus importante. Ceci acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la dissolution du CaCO\u2083 et la lib\u00e9ration d&#039;ions hydroxyde. Le pH augmente en cons\u00e9quence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le monofluorophosphate de sodium (SMFP) s&#039;hydrolyse progressivement et produit de l&#039;acide fluorhydrique. Cet acide r\u00e9agit avec les ions calcium et phosphate pour former de la fluorapatite insoluble. Des ions hydrog\u00e8ne sont lib\u00e9r\u00e9s, ce qui entra\u00eene une diminution du pH.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Les deux r\u00e9actions s&#039;acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<br>Cela entra\u00eene des fluctuations de pH plus importantes lors du vieillissement \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D&#039;apr\u00e8s les courbes de pH, le dentifrice contenant des abrasifs D97 = 25,4 \u03bcm pr\u00e9sente toujours un pH sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de l&#039;\u00e9chantillon de 21,5 \u03bcm. De m\u00eame, l&#039;\u00e9chantillon de 43,9 \u03bcm conserve un pH sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de l&#039;\u00e9chantillon de 35,7 \u03bcm. Ceci s&#039;explique par la plus grande quantit\u00e9 d&#039;alcalis libres pr\u00e9sente dans les abrasifs de 25,4 \u03bcm et 43,9 \u03bcm. Ces impuret\u00e9s alcalines (principalement Ca(OH)\u2082 ou CaO) augmentent le pH initial du dentifrice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Effet sur la r\u00e9tention TSF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La r\u00e9tention de TSF diminue significativement \u00e0 mesure que la taille des particules D97 diminue.<br>Pour un m\u00eame \u00e9chantillon, la r\u00e9tention de TSF diminue \u00e9galement avec des temp\u00e9ratures de vieillissement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es ou des dur\u00e9es de vieillissement plus longues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les principales raisons sont les suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une taille de particules plus petite augmente la surface sp\u00e9cifique. Des temp\u00e9ratures de vieillissement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es augmentent les concentrations en ions calcium et en acide fluorhydrique. Ces deux facteurs acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent la formation de fluorapatite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un vieillissement prolong\u00e9 favorise l&#039;hydrolyse continue du SMFP et la pr\u00e9cipitation continue de la fluorapatite, ce qui r\u00e9duit encore la r\u00e9tention de TSF.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>D&#039;apr\u00e8s les courbes de r\u00e9tention, les \u00e9chantillons pr\u00e9par\u00e9s avec des abrasifs D97 = 25,4 \u03bcm et 21,5 \u03bcm pr\u00e9sentent un comportement presque identique.<br>Cependant, l&#039;\u00e9chantillon de 43,9 \u03bcm pr\u00e9sente une r\u00e9tention nettement inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de l&#039;\u00e9chantillon de 35,7 \u03bcm.<br>Cela est d\u00fb \u00e0 une teneur plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e en alcalis libres dans les abrasifs de 25,4 \u03bcm et 43,9 \u03bcm.<br>Ces impuret\u00e9s augmentent le pH et amplifient les r\u00e9actions alcalines.<br>L&#039;alcali libre r\u00e9agit plus rapidement avec le SMFP hydrolys\u00e9 que le CaCO\u2083, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant la formation de fluorapatite et r\u00e9duisant la r\u00e9tention de TSF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste.webp\" alt=\"dentifrice au carbonate de calcium\" class=\"wp-image-3732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste.webp 667w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste-16x12.webp 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Effet sur la viscosit\u00e9 du dentifrice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La viscosit\u00e9 du dentifrice augmente \u00e0 mesure que la taille des particules D97 diminue.<br>Pour un m\u00eame \u00e9chantillon, la viscosit\u00e9 augmente \u00e9galement \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es ou avec un vieillissement plus long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les raisons sont les suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une taille de particules plus petite et une temp\u00e9rature plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e augmentent la concentration en ions calcium.<br>Les ions calcium renforcent l&#039;effet de r\u00e9ticulation sur la CMC.<br>Un vieillissement prolong\u00e9 continue d&#039;accro\u00eetre la r\u00e9ticulation, ce qui augmente la viscosit\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les particules plus petites augmentent l&#039;interface solide-liquide.<br>Cela augmente la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9coulement de la p\u00e2te et contribue \u00e0 une viscosit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Effet sur l&#039;abrasivit\u00e9 du dentifrice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s 12 semaines de vieillissement \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante, l&#039;abrasivit\u00e9 (Ra) augmente \u00e0 mesure que la taille des particules D97 diminue. Ceci s&#039;explique par le fait que les particules abrasives plus petites augmentent leur nombre dans le syst\u00e8me. Un plus grand nombre de particules participent \u00e0 l&#039;abrasion au sein d&#039;une m\u00eame rainure lors du brossage.
