Vertical Air Classifier
- Features:
Low speed, stand wear and tear, low system power configuration; clean production process; PLC control system, easy operation. - Application:
Widely used in chemical industry, minerals (especially suitable for non-mineral materials classifying, such as calcium carbonate, kaolin, quartz, talc, mica), metallurgy, abrasives, ceramics, refractory materials, medicines, pesticides, food, health products, new materials, etc. industry.
Vertical Air Classifier working principle
The ITC vertical air classifier’s drive is located beneath the classifying zone. The feed product is centrally fed from above. This setup ensures optimal distribution and dispersion of the product. The feed unit charges the feed product to the centrifugal plate. The product is distributed uniformly and catapulted towards the baffle ring. The feed material is deflected by the baffle ring and routed downwards into the classifying zone.
The air enters the spiral housing. It flows through the vanes, vane ring, and classifying wheel centrifugally. Fines are removed as the feed material moves downwards in the classifying zone. This zone is located between the vane ring and the classifying wheel.
The fines are entrained in the classifying air. They flow towards the fines discharge based on the cut point set. Separate fines from air using a downstream collection device like a cyclone or filter. The classifying wheel rejects the coarse material. It falls into the lower classifier due to gravity.
The coarse material discharge must be air-sealed by means of a rotary valve. Rinsing air prevents product migration by sealing the gap. Air is drawn in automatically or supplied under pressure. The classifying wheel is typically powered by a V-belt drive with a fixed ratio. The classifier speed can be adjusted using a frequency converter. The classifier is delivered complete with filter, fan and cyclone.
Single Classifying Wheel
- Single rotor classifier, rotor diameter from 150mm to 2200mm, rotor speed 340 ~ 10000rpm;
- The range of particle size is 2 ~ 45μm;
The materials are directly fed into the classifying area from the bottom of the classifier by the classifying airflow; - With thermal sensor and speed sensor, suitable for inverter operation;
- Easy to use wear-resistant lining, used for classification of abrasive materials.
