Os graus comerciais t\u00edpicos incluem <a href=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/pt\/machines\/ball-mill\/\">malha 325<\/a> (D97 \u2248 45 \u03bcm) e 400 mesh (D97 \u2248 38 \u03bcm). Neste estudo, foram selecionados abrasivos naturais de carbonato de c\u00e1lcio com valores de D97 variando de 10 a 45 \u03bcm. Amostras de creme dental com fl\u00faor foram preparadas utilizando uma formula\u00e7\u00e3o uniforme. As amostras foram envelhecidas a 25 \u00b0C, 40 \u00b0C e 50 \u00b0C. A flutua\u00e7\u00e3o do pH a 50\u00b0C \u00e9 significativamente maior do que a 40\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essas observa\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e3o relacionadas a duas rea\u00e7\u00f5es principais durante o envelhecimento:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part\u00edculas abrasivas menores possuem uma \u00e1rea de superf\u00edcie espec\u00edfica maior. Isso acelera a dissolu\u00e7\u00e3o do CaCO\u2083 e a libera\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00edons hidr\u00f3xido. Consequentemente, o pH aumenta.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O monofluorofosfato de s\u00f3dio (SMFP) hidrolisa-se gradualmente, produzindo \u00e1cido fluor\u00eddrico. Este \u00e1cido reage com \u00edons de c\u00e1lcio e \u00edons de fosfato para formar fluorapatita insol\u00favel. Os \u00edons de hidrog\u00eanio s\u00e3o liberados, causando a queda do pH.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambas as rea\u00e7\u00f5es se aceleram em temperaturas mais altas.<br>Isso resulta em maiores flutua\u00e7\u00f5es de pH durante o envelhecimento em altas temperaturas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A partir das curvas de pH, o creme dental contendo abrasivos com D97 = 25,4 \u03bcm sempre apresenta valores de pH mais altos do que a amostra com 21,5 \u03bcm. Da mesma forma, a amostra com 43,9 \u03bcm permanece acima da amostra com 35,7 \u03bcm. Isso ocorre porque os abrasivos de 25,4 \u03bcm e 43,9 \u03bcm cont\u00eam mais \u00e1lcali livre. Essas impurezas alcalinas (principalmente Ca(OH)\u2082 ou CaO) aumentam o pH inicial do creme dental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efeito na reten\u00e7\u00e3o de TSF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A reten\u00e7\u00e3o de TSF diminui significativamente \u00e0 medida que o tamanho das part\u00edculas D97 se torna menor.<br>Para a mesma amostra, a reten\u00e7\u00e3o de TSF tamb\u00e9m diminui com temperaturas de envelhecimento mais altas ou tempos de envelhecimento mais longos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os principais motivos incluem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part\u00edculas menores aumentam a \u00e1rea superficial espec\u00edfica. Temperaturas de envelhecimento mais elevadas aumentam as concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de \u00edons de c\u00e1lcio e \u00e1cido fluor\u00eddrico. Ambos os fatores aceleram a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de fluorapatita.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um envelhecimento prolongado promove a hidr\u00f3lise cont\u00ednua do SMFP e a precipita\u00e7\u00e3o constante de fluorapatita. Isso reduz ainda mais a reten\u00e7\u00e3o de TSF.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A partir das curvas de reten\u00e7\u00e3o, as amostras preparadas com abrasivos de D97 = 25,4 \u03bcm e 21,5 \u03bcm apresentam comportamento quase id\u00eantico.<br>No entanto, a amostra de 43,9 \u03bcm apresenta uma reten\u00e7\u00e3o significativamente menor do que a amostra de 35,7 \u03bcm.<br>Isso se deve ao maior teor de \u00e1lcalis livres nos abrasivos de 25,4 \u03bcm e 43,9 \u03bcm.<br>Essas impurezas elevam o pH e intensificam as rea\u00e7\u00f5es alcalinas.<br>O \u00e1lcali livre reage mais rapidamente com o SMFP hidrolisado do que o CaCO\u2083, acelerando a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de fluorapatita e reduzindo a reten\u00e7\u00e3o de TSF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste.webp\" alt=\"pasta de dente de carbonato de c\u00e1lcio\" class=\"wp-image-3732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste.webp 667w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/calcium-carbonate.epic-powder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/calcium-carbonate-toothpaste-16x12.webp 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efeito na viscosidade da pasta de dentes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A viscosidade da pasta de dentes aumenta \u00e0 medida que o tamanho das part\u00edculas D97 diminui.<br>Para a mesma amostra, a viscosidade tamb\u00e9m aumenta em temperaturas mais altas ou com maior tempo de envelhecimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os motivos s\u00e3o os seguintes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part\u00edculas menores e temperaturas mais altas aumentam a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00edons de c\u00e1lcio.<br>Os \u00edons de c\u00e1lcio refor\u00e7am o efeito de reticula\u00e7\u00e3o na CMC.<br>O envelhecimento prolongado continua a aumentar a reticula\u00e7\u00e3o, o que eleva a viscosidade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Part\u00edculas menores aumentam a interface s\u00f3lido-l\u00edquido.<br>Isso aumenta a resist\u00eancia ao fluxo na pasta e contribui para uma maior viscosidade.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efeito na abrasividade da pasta de dentes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ap\u00f3s 12 semanas de envelhecimento \u00e0 temperatura ambiente, a abrasividade (Ra) aumenta \u00e0 medida que o tamanho das part\u00edculas D97 diminui. Isso ocorre porque part\u00edculas abrasivas menores aumentam o n\u00famero de part\u00edculas no sistema. Mais part\u00edculas participam da abras\u00e3o dentro do mesmo sulco durante a escova\u00e7\u00e3o.
