Ultra-fine Air Classifier
The TDC Ultra-fine Air Classifier is a high performance particle separator ideal for classification of soft to medium-hard minerals at high throughputs, such as industrial fillers. The classifying wheel has a new patented design for high throughput rates and loading factors at high fineness values of up to d97 = 3.0 μm. Due to the low pressure drop, theTDC Ultra-fine Air Classifier is considered one of EPIC’s most energy efficient air classifiers.
Ultra-fine Air Classifier working principle
The TDC Ultra-fine Air Classifier is a high performance particle separator ideal for classification of soft to medium-hard minerals at high throughputs, such as industrial fillers. The classifying wheel has a new patented design for high throughput rates and loading factors at high fineness values of up to d97 = 3.0μm. Due to the low pressure drop, the TDC Ultra-fine Air Classifier is considered one of EPIC’s most energy efficient air classifiers.
The classifying wheel has support bearings on both sides and permits extremely high peripheral speeds of up to 120 m/s. Another unique feature is the optimized product routing to the classifying wheel which prevents back mixing with the already classified coarse material. There are six models available for pilot classification systems up to large production units.
Features of Ultra-fine Air Classifier
- High fines yield and maximum fines capacity
- Superfine powders in the range of d97 = 3 µm
- Single classifying wheel supported on both sides
- Multiple fine outlets for high capacity
- Optimized feed material supply direct to the classifier wheel
- Compact and functional design
- Ideal for soft to medium hard materials
Applications of TDC Air Classifier
The TDC air classifier is ideal for the ultrafine classification of soft to medium hard materials.
